CRCA busheling scrap prices fell by INR 400/t in north and west India, whereas in the south prices declined marginally by INR 100/t. Falling semi-finished steel prices forced induction furnaces to halt prime grade scrap procurement to maintain the conversion spread. Disparity in offers and bids widened by INR 600-800/t, especially in the western and southern regions, sources informed.
