World crude steel output down 11%, y-o-y, in Oct’21 – WSA

Crude steel output of 64 countries tracked by World Steel Association (WSA) stood at 145.7 mn t in Oct’21, down 10.6% compared with 162.98 mn t in the same period last year. On a monthly basis, output rose marginally by 1% against 144.4 mn t in Sept’21.

• Indian mills churned out 9.8 mn t
• Japan’s production stood at 8.2 mn t
