China’s Top 7 Coke Producing Provinces in Jan-Oct’21

Shanxi was the largest coke-producing province in China in Jan-Oct’21 with 84 million tonnes (mn t). But, compared to last year, Shanxi’s production fell by 5% y-o-y. Inner Mongolia is the second-largest coke-producing province with 39 mn t, up 14% y-o-y followed by Shaanxi province in third place with 37 mn t, down 9% y-o-y. It is to be noted that China’s total coke production in Jan-Oct’20 was at 394 mn t which is exactly same as in Jan-Oct’21.
