Sponge iron prices in Rourkela fell by INR 800/t on 22 Nov’21. SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines), stands at INR 30,100/t. A total of 1,150 t of deals were confirmed at INR 30,000-30,200/t exw-Rourkela. According to sources, demand remained limited today, given the sluggish trends in steel billet prices which declined by INR 1,000/t, d-o-d.
