Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 19 Nov’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 4,200/t ($658/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to SteelMint data, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,285/t ($671/t), witnessing a significant recovery of RMB 116/t ($18/t), d-o-d.
