China: Ferro alloys production falls by 18%, y-o-y, in Oct’21

According to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), total production of ferro alloys in the country was recorded at 2.68 mn t in Oct’21, down 18.2% compared to Oct’20. On the other hand, ferro alloys output decreased by 2.9%, y-o-y, to 28.83 mn t in Jan-Oct’21. Power-intensive ferro alloys production was impacted due to drop in domestic coal production and power rationing in China.
