At Vizag Steel’s steel grade pig iron auction on 17 Nov’21 a total of 1,000 t was put under the hammer. Buyers booked only 250 t at INR 40,500/t exw. The steelmaker’s previous pig iron auction on 6 Nov for around 2,400 t was concluded at INR 42,850/t exw. Pig iron prices are falling on declining domestic coke prices and recovery in supplies.
