China: Electricity consumption rises 6% on year in Oct’21

China’s electricity consumption rose by 6%, y-o-y, to 660.3 TWh in Oct’21, data from National Energy Administration showed. The residential sector was the highest user of electricity last month, followed by the industrial, service, and agricultural sectors. In Jan- Oct’21, the country consumed 6825.4 TWh of electricity, an increase of 12% y-o-y.
