Melting scrap prices in Alang fell by INR 800/t today. HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 38,300/t while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 39,300/t. Declining prices of commodities – from scrap to finished steel – across markets saw scrapyards adjusting offers as per market requirements. Notably, HMS (80:20) prices in Alang are still at the highest level compared to other markets in the country, SteelMint notes.
