India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 11,000/t at Vizag Port

In a confirmed deal, 10,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal was sold at INR 11,000/t at Vizag. Over the last two weeks, portside prices of RB2 coal declined by over INR 4,000/t due to the fall in index prices. Enquiries from sponge iron manufacturers, however, remain few and far between, as buyers are anticipating prices to correct lower in the coming days.
