Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) has lowered pellet offers for the domestic market by INR 500/t ($7) to INR 12,000/t ($161) exw as against INR 12,500/t ($168) on 9 Nov’21. However, some local producers are offering pellets at around INR 11,600-11,700/t ($156-157) exw-Raipur. Decline in sponge iron prices and falling bids have resulted in a drop in pellet offers.
