Melting scrap prices witnessed a correction in key regional markets on 8 Nov’21. The factors behind the price correction are decreasing substitute (sponge iron) prices and limited trade in semi-finished steel due to lack of buying enquiries in the finished steel segment. However, in the Gujarat market in western India, scrap prices saw slight positive movements on supply concerns, SteelMint notes.
