South Asia: Imported scrap offers move upwards

Imported scrap prices into Bangladesh and Pakistan have risen against last week’s closing prices.
In a deal concluded last week, around 1,000 t of UK-origin shredded scrap was traded at $562/t. SteelMint assesses UK-origin containerised scrap at $567/t CFR Port Qasim on 8 Nov’21, an increase of around $5/t.
UK/EU-origin shredded scrap prices are at $585/t CFR Chittagong, up $10-15/t.
