SAIL has scheduled an auction for 2,000 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) for 10 Nov’21 from the IISCO Steel Plant. Limited allocations by SAIL for auctions is due to low realisations as against semis and finished steel. At the previous auction on 3 Nov, 1,000 t of pig iron had been booked at a weighted average price of INR 42,075/t exw.
