State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 4,000 t of basic grade pig iron on 3 Nov’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in Jharkhand. The base price was set at INR 43,000/t, sources informed SteelMint, but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed.
