POSCO has hiked prices of 300 series stainless steel by KRW 300,000/t ($254/t) on strong nickel and molybdenum prices and to maintain parity with global prices of stainless steel and imported galvanised steel. However, the prices of 400 series remain unchanged for Nov’21 shipments. S. Korean domestic prices are comparatively lower than Chinese prices, which are at $3,227/t for 304 grade stainless steel.
