China: Shanxi’s coal output rises 4% in Oct’21

Coal output at China’s largest coal producing province of Shanxi has increased by 4%, or around 130,000 t, to 3.36 mn t in Oct’21, as all the collieries in the province have been working at full capacity. The province has targeted coal output of 1.2 bn t for 2021, an increase of 13%, y-o-y. In the Jan-Sep period, Shanxi’s coal production reached 877.3 mn t.
