India: Portside RB2 coal trade turns slow ahead of Diwali

Portside trading activity of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal turned sluggish today, as sponge iron manufacturers avoided any major bookings ahead of Diwali. Buyers are also adopting a wait and see approach due to the random decline in imported coal prices. South African RB1 (6000 NAR) grade coal prices for Nov’21 has fallen to $129/t, a decrease of $49/t w-o-w.
