Glencore’s exports of Australian thermal coal rise 19% in Jul-Sept’21

Amid the sharp rise in thermal coal prices since the beginning of this year, Glencore’s exports of Australian thermal coal increased by 19%, q-o-q, to 15.5 mn t during the Jul-Sept’21 period. During Jan-Sept’21, exports by the multinational trading firm stood at 40.5 mn t, down 6% y-o-y. Glencore expects Australian coal exports to remain upbeat through the Oct-Dec’21 period.
