South Africa: Ferro chrome exports up 3% on month in Sep’21

The world’s largest ferro chrome producer, South Africa’s export volumes were recorded at 322,400 t in Sep’21 – a marginal rise of 3% on the month. The country exported 104,900 t (33% of total exports) to China. Exports to China spurted by 24.6%, m-o-m, in Sep due to severe production curtailments in that country. S. Africa’s total exports increased by 63.2%, y-o-y, in Jan-Sep’21.
