Mining major Vedanta Limited has announced the start of commercial production at its recently acquired metallurgical coke plant in Gujarat. The plant, Sesa-Coke, was previously owned by Gujarat NRE Coke Limited. It has total capacity of 0.9 mn t per annum. The company is expecting to ramp up met coke production to full capacity at the plant during the ongoing quarter.
