SAIL has scheduled an auction for 1,000 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) for 3 Nov’21 from the IISCO Steel Plant. Limited allocation by SAIL for auctions is due to low realisations as against semis and finished steel products. At the previous auction on 26 Oct, 500 t of pig iron had been booked at a weighted average price of INR 43,450/t exw.
