Indonesian thermal coal prices fall by upto $25/t, w-o-w

Amid the sharp decline in thermal coal prices in China, Indonesia’s thermal coal indices for the different grades have corrected by $8-25/t. Prices of 5000 GAR coal fell by $25/t, w-o-w, to $185/t, while prices of 5800 GAR and 6500 GAR coals stood at $202/t and $216/t, respectively. The sharp fall in prices follows China slowing down seaborne purchases on cheaper domestic coal.
