Australia: Fortescue’s iron ore production up 4%, y-o-y, in Q3CY’21

The world’s fourth-largest iron ore producer and exporter, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), mined a total of 60.8 mn t of iron ore in Q3CY’21, an increase of 4% on the year. Total shipment was recorded at 45.6 mn t for the quarter, up 3% y-o-y. FMG’s iron ore shipment guidance for FY’22 (Q3 CY’21-Q2 CY’22) is intact at 180-185 mn t.
