Melting scrap prices exhibited mixed trends on 27 Oct’21. Prices remained supported in Punjab, Gujarat and Raipur following an uptick in sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices. On the contrary, in the southern region, prices fell substantially on account of declining steel prices, owing to lack of finished steel movement. In Maharashtra, prices remained flat on routine demand amid improvement in prices of semis.
