China’s Top 7 Coal Producing Provinces in Jan-Sept’21

China’s coal production in Jan-Sept’21 increased by 5.5% to 2,913 million tonnes (mn t). Shanxi province become the largest coal producing province with 877 mn t. Compared to last year, Shanxi’s production increased by 11.6%. Inner Mongolia is the second largest coal producing province with 733 mn t followed by Shaanxi Province which is in third place with 511 mnt.
