Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased today by INR 300/t. Improvement in buying enquiries by the IF units based at Bhavnagar and limited availability in the Alang market were the key factors behind the strengthening in prices today, sources informed. Trade reference prices are as below:
- Melting scrap (HMS 80:20): INR 39,500-39,700/t
- Attachment scrap: INR 40,500-40,700/t
