Colombia: Cerrejon’s coal exports rise 35% on year in Jan-Sept’21

Colombian coal miner Cerrejon’s coal exports were recorded at 16.7 mn t during Jan-Sept’21, up 35% y-o-y. Exports in Sept were recorded at 2.2 mn t amid strong demand from European countries. Coal production last month was at 2.2 mn t, the highest monthly output ever as against 0.3 mn t in Aug.
