In view of the prevailing coal shortage at power plants in the country, the Ministry of Railways has decided that loading of coal from goods sheds for power houses will be given priority till 21 Nov’21. The instructions are applicable from 22 Oct. The Ministry of Coal had earlier announced that supplies to power utilities will be increased to 2.2 mn t daily.
