Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap purchase price by $13/t

Tokyo Steel has announced a hike in scrap purchase price for the third time this week in Oct’21.
The steelmaker has raised bids by JPY 1,500/t ($13) for one of its units, effective from 22 Oct.
Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap will stand at JPY 58,500/t ($513) for the Tahara plant, prices for all other plants remained unchanged.
