Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched down by INR 200/t after reaching record highs yesterday, as per latest reports available with SteelMint. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 40,300-40,400/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 41,300-41,400/t. Semi-finished steel prices remained stable yesterday and limited transactions were reported by a few traders and brokers, sources informed SteelMint.
