In a confirmed deal, one rake of Australian 5500 NAR grade coal was sold at INR 18,000/t ex-Vizag. Amidst acute domestic coal shortage that the non-power sectors face, demand for Australian coal has risen sharply as it is comparatively cheaper than similar grades of Indonesian and South African coals.
