Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market moved down slightly by INR 200/t on a d-o-d basis. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 40,300/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 41,300/t. Subdued buying inquiries for semi-finished steel before the close of trading on the last working day led to adjustments in offers and bids today, SteelMint understands.
