SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge C-DRI in Rourkela, Odisha stands at INR 36,450/t exw, on 12 Oct’21. Around 2,500 t of C-DRI (70:30 mix material) deals were confirmed in the range of INR 36,300-36,500/t exw. Also, a deal for 1,500 t of 100% lumps was reported for Mandi Gobindgarh at INR 36,400/t exw with freight charges at around INR 3,600/t. Suppliers said that demand has slightly weakened today as buyers had placed sufficient orders yesterday. However, due to higher coal prices, sellers have kept prices strong.
