Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 5,330/t ($828/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 12 Oct’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 5,562/t ($862/t), falling sharply by RMB 246/t ($38/t) d-o-d after an increase of RMB 58/t ($9/t) yesterday.
