Melting scrap prices increased at most locations in the country on 11 Oct’21. Scrap prices remained supported on price hikes of substitutes (sponge iron) following an upward trend in fuel prices, which ultimately boosted semi-finished and finished steel prices. The near-term outlook remains unclear as prices are fluctuating on a daily basis, trade sources told SteelMint.
