SAIL conducted an auction on 8 Oct’21 for 9,900 t (60 kg and 52kg, full length) commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked 3,400 t of 60 kg rails out of 7,900 t at a weighted average price of 42,300/t exw. The entire 2,000 t of 52kg rails was booked at the base price of INR 46,500/t exw.
