SAIL held an auction for 1,000 t of basic grade pig iron on 6 Oct’21 from IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 44,300/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 1,600/t ($21/t) compared to the previous auction on 30 Sep, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 42,700/t exw.
