In a confirmed deal for resale, 12,000 t of domestic washed coal (of 4800 GCV) was sold at INR 13,000/t ex-Korba. In another deal, 5,000 t of G7 grade coal from CIL’s Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) was heard sold at INR 7,500/t, excluding GST. Amid acute shortage of coal in the country, prices of domestic coal have almost doubled in the last two months.
