Sponge C-DRI prices (FeM 80%, mix material) in Odisha’s Rourkela rose by INR 450/t to INR 35,450/t ($475/t) exw. Around 1,000 t of C-DRI deals were reported at INR 35,000-35,500/t exw. Trade volumes dropped for C-DRI as a few plants shifted towards manufacturing P-DRI (pellet-based sponge iron). About 1,500 t of deals have been confirmed at INR 33,000-33,500/t exw-Odisha.
