India’s iron ore exports witnessed a sharp decline of 76% on the year to 2.8 mn t in Q2 FY’22 as against 11.7 mn t in the corresponding period last year. Limited Chinese buying of low-grade iron ore kept Indian exports on the lower side. Meanwhile, iron ore export shipments stood at 0.27 mn t in Sep as against 0.45 mn t in Aug.
