Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang fell by INR 200/t, d-o-d. Trade reference prices for Heavy Melting Scrap (80:20) are assessed at INR 37,900/t-38,100/t, while attachment scrap prices are ranging between INR 38,900/t and INR 39,100/t exw. As prices are rapidly increasing, buyers are cautious and limited transactions in semi-finished and finished long steel are leading to a marginal correction in scrap prices, SteelMint notes.
