SAIL held an auction for 500 t of basic grade pig iron on 30 Sep’21 from IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at INR 42,700/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 3,100/t ($41/t) compared to the previous auction on 22 Sep, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 39,600/t exw.
