China: Billet import bookings edge up before holidays

The China billet imports market turned active just before the Golden Week holidays. Deals from CIS as well as GCC countries have been reported in the last couple of days.

• A Russian mill concluded an export deal for 20,000 t of billets at $705/t CFR.
• A 40,000 t Ukrainian billet deal was heard at $705/t CFR.
• Another deal from a Gulf country was heard at $710/t CFR.
