Steel billet prices in China’s key steelmaking province of Tangshan remained stable at RMB 5,210/t ($806/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 30 Sep’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery at the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 5,706/t ($883/t), witnessing a rise of RMB 49/t ($7/t), d-o-d.
