Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang increased by INR 1,000/t, d-o-d. Trade reference prices for Heavy Melting Scrap (80:20) are assessed at INR 36,900/t-37,100/t, while attachment scrap prices range between at INR 37,900/t and INR 38,100/t exw. Improved demand and transactions in semi-finished and finished long steel resulted in healthy buying enquiries for scrap. Meanwhile, limited availability remains a key factor strengthening prices.
