China: Shanxi signs coal contracts to stabilise supplies

On 29 Sep’21, the mid-to-long-term coal contract signing meeting was held in Taiyuan. Central coal enterprises in Shanxi will guarantee supply to five provinces and cities including Tianjin, Fujian, Hebei, Guangdong, and Liaoning. The Jinneng Holding Group Co., Ltd. will connect with six provinces and regions including Guangxi, Jiangsu, Jilin, Anhui, Shanghai and Zhejiang. As a major coal-producing province, Shanxi is required to increase coal production, and stabilise prices.
