Steel melting scrap prices witnessed an uptick in most markets on 28 Sep’21. Prices moved up by INR 700/t in Punjab’s Ludhiana, although other markets, too, saw prices rising by INR 200-400/t following positive steel market sentiments amid supply shortage at a few locations. Prices in the near term may change depending on movements in semi-finished steel prices, trade participants informed SteelMint.
