IF re-bar prices in the northern and eastern regions increased by INR 300/t, d-o-d, owing to increase in steel billet prices. However, suppliers in the central, western and southern regions adjusted their offers as per buying enquiries and spot requirements. Despite curtailed production in the western region, high inventories at mills could keep prices under pressure. High raw materials prices at other locations may support re-bar prices.
