Amid escalating global thermal coal prices, US 6900 NAR grade thermal coal price has risen by another INR 1,000/t since 20 Sep’21, CoalMint learnt from market participants. The same is being sold at INR 19,000/t ex-Kandla basis. However, in order to liquidate stocks, a few traders were also heard to be selling this grade at lower prices of INR 17,500-18,000/t to avoid cancellation of contract in case the lifting period gets over.
